From bud to bloom

Late Monday afternoon I completed the final steps in making the retail space at 409 Main St. in downtown Brighton, the place where Art In Bloom will begin to bloom. I have the keys to the store and will begin redecorating and moving in as soon as possible. Closing my art room at Hornung Elementary last Friday and saying goodbye to the many students and colleagues was bittersweet. My hope is to maintain contact with as many of these friends as possible through the floral and art gallery. I absolutely hope they will stop in and visit me from time to time. Also, from the comments I’m receiving on this blog and in person, it’s apparent that the art classes will be quite popular. I really look forward to planning the classes that will begin in September but for now my focus has to be on getting the storefront looking “just so.” It’s also time to empty out my very full garage so that I can once again park inside. 🙂

    Tracey,
Your dream should be in full bloom as of Thursday, July 22. You have shown such strength and courage in opening “Art In Blooom” and following your dream and your heart. I am so proud of all that you are!!
