A little video about roses :)

Many thanks to Nicole Krawcke the editor of the Brighton Patch a local online news source. She stopped into the store last week to ask a few questions about the approach of spring and how it impacted my business. I was designing an arrangement for a customer at the time and Nicole asked if she could film me working. Normally I am very awkward on camera but this was so casual that I actually had fun. Here is a link to the video on roses.

Fresh roses always make a great statement. Aside from the traditional red, we have gorgeous "purple haze" and two-tone "sweetness" varieties. Starting at $29.00 for a half dozen with fresh greenery and fillers.

Ivory colored “Escimo” roses for Christa’s bouquet

Absolutely adorable ring bearer, Parker.

Tall centerpieces with orchid sprays and mini calla lilies.

Ceremony location…the chapel at the Inn at St. John’s…lovely European style setting.

Gazebo completed with hanging glass spheres.

Centerpieces with low glass bowls filled with purple hydrangeas and sparkly candlesticks.

Many thanks to my sister, Wendy for all of her help with the set up!

Focusing on placing a floral arrangement atop a glass pedestal vase.

The lovely atrium at The Inn at St. John’s where the reception took place.

So sweet…Eric ordered this arrangement to be delivered to Christa early in the day at her hotel suite before the wedding.

A pomander ball in shades of purple for the flower girl.

Christa’s bouquet was adorned with her mother’s rosary…something old…and very sentimental.

New Floral Ideas

I had a fabulous time at the Great Lakes Floral Expo. My stay at the elegant Amway Grand Plaza Hotel was wonderful and I will definitely return for another visit there. A quick walk through a skywalk took me to the DeVos Convention Center where I attended a class and had a look at the vendor booths. I am returning to the studio overflowing with new ideas that I can’t wait to try out!
