It’s that time of year…Homecoming

What’s the trend this year? Simplicity.

Subtle color on a pearl bracelet band with a few unique twists makes a statement without taking over.

Gerberas make a strong impact without a lot of fuss.

Bracelet bands- available in a wide variety of styles and colors and honestly, more comfortable than the elastic bands of the past.

Soft color on a wide pearl band.

Double orchid boutonniere in purple.

Dendrobium orchids as a boutonniere tend to lay more flat on the lapel than roses.

Sympathy designs represent the sender’s relationship to and feelings for the deceased

A unique twist on an easel design includes bright colors and unusual blooms.

A unique twist on an easel design includes bright colors and unusual blooms for a woman who was remembered as an artistic and fun-loving spirit.

A statement of love in a subtle heart form with roses and fillers.

This heart shape is symbolic for a lost grandparent. The colors and flowers were carefully selected to express the family’s emotions.

These images were snapped as the designs were heading out the door to be delivered to funeral visitations.  Sadly, it was a busy week for sympathy work here in Brighton with arrangements going out to easily seven different services. As I finished up the last of the designs today I had the sudden urge to hug to those I love and remind them just how much they mean to me.
