I love the richness of combining deep burgundy and eggplant with lighter tones and eucalyptus foliage.
Sunflowers seem to symbolize that transitional time between summer heat and the crispness of fall. They are one of those versatile and long lasting blooms that look as great in a bridal bouquet as they do in a table arrangement!
There are more opportunities at this time of year to buy locally sourced product. Some of my favorites in September are zinnias, celosia and anything that will dry nicely- think pods, cattails and grasses!
As the colors changes outdoors, the use of foliage and textures becomes more important heading into the holiday season. I love incorporating berries and succulents into tablescapes, when possible.
