Here’s a quick recap of some of the bridal bouquets we have designed since spring- each slightly different to showcase each couple’s style and color scheme.
…there are so many gorgeous flower choices and color combinations at this time of year, it makes my head spin!
I love the richness of combining deep burgundy and eggplant with lighter tones and eucalyptus foliage.
Sunflowers seem to symbolize that transitional time between summer heat and the crispness of fall. They are one of those versatile and long lasting blooms that look as great in a bridal bouquet as they do in a table arrangement!
There are more opportunities at this time of year to buy locally sourced product. Some of my favorites in September are zinnias, celosia and anything that will dry nicely- think pods, cattails and grasses!
As the colors changes outdoors, the use of foliage and textures becomes more important heading into the holiday season. I love incorporating berries and succulents into tablescapes, when possible.
Give the studio a call if you would like to discuss options for your floral order. We have shipments arriving 3-4 times per week from local flower farmers, as well as wholesalers.
It has been a busy summer wedding season and I have enjoyed working with each and every couple who have entrusted me with their florals!
The trend toward outdoor ceremonies has made designing so much fun. There is such a feeling of success when the last touch is added and I can step back and take a few photos.
My assistants and I have created and set up two weddings per weekend since the end of May. We now have a couple weeks to regroup and refresh and then we’ll be back in full swing starting September 1st with more wonderful couples and gorgeous fall weddings! Please email me if you would like to check availability of a 2019 and 2020 wedding date. I would love to meet with you!
Mary and Greg were married on April 7th at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Tecumseh. The bridesmaids wore wisteria and the men were dressed in black and white. They were a pleasure to work with and I thoroughly enjoyed designing their wedding day florals!
At our first consultation, Greg made it clear that he would like to add his own touch to the wedding decor and I always admire a groom who gets involved in the details. He is a pheasant hunter and provided feathers to incorporate into their wear and carry flowers.
The reception was held at The Sheraton, Ann Arbor with centerpieces that were both low and high.
